Dad: I think I’m getting better at this cash economy. I’ve been learning to barter at FamilyMart.
Dad: Yeah. I find something I want, put some money on the counter, and the clerk either takes it and gives me change, or asks for more.
This past week has been an interesting one (though a lot of fun). Lots of Tokyo is designed with foreigners in mind, but a convenience store in the northeast suburbs of the city really isn’t.
